Ironcards was founded in 2010 by CosaVostra and then acquired in 2015 by Peppergreen Interactive.

Historically, Ironcards has always offered metal business cards. But the scope of our cards also extends to membership cards (for clubs, associations, concierge services, etc.), warranty cards, gift cards, customer rewards cards and access cards (or access passes).

The originality of the material and the creative possibilities that it affords will make your business cards and other cards into true communications objects.
All the cards that we produce are tailor-made, so let our designers create the card of your dreams or send us your own mock-up. Your cards will be unique.

Here are some points for you to consider when creating your mock-ups for metal cards.

You can:

• Engrave them
• Die-cut them
• Print on both sides
• Engrave and then print on them (on a text or an engraved area)

There are a few rules to follow:

• Engravings: bear in mind that cards cannot be engraved in the same spot on both sides (this would weaken them too much).
• Die-cuts: logos and letters containing holes (e.g. A B D O Q P a b e o d p, etc.) cannot be die-cut, unless you want them to be blank on the inside.

• For engraving, the minimum size of a point is 0.1 mm in diameter
• For printing, the minimum size of a point is 0.12 mm in diameter
• For die-cutting, the minimum size of a point is 0.5 mm in diameter

If you want to cut through frames, holes or special letters, you will need to provide a link like between the “R” and the “O” below.

To submit your design to us, please download this file/template and add your mock-up to it, then check that it satisfies all the rules.

We will not accept mock-ups which do not adhere to the provided template.

• An Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file (CS4 max)
  • Use vector fonts
  • Lock your images
  • Display both front and back in the same document
  • Unlock the masks
  • What you see is what you get: our workshop will not interpret your file Make sure that everything is displayed the way you want

Technical specifications

You can print inside the engravings to make them more visible, or else print a logo directly on the cards. The material allows you to apply engraving and laser die-cutting to your texts and your logo. If you are looking for a very subtle text, we recommend tone-on-tone engraving. If you prefer a more obvious text, we recommend a larger font for a polished steel effect which will yield a lighter look.

We also offer a large number of finishes like mirror, polished and brushed.

Technical specifications

The raw metal cards are soaked in a treatment bath for electro-anodizing, endowing them with a matte black look.

We can then personalize them and play with the laser engraving of your texts and your logo:

• If you want to see the raw material of the (silver metal) card, you will need to engrave it after electro-anodizing
• If you prefer a more discreet text, we recommend engraving your card before electro-anodizing it. This will create a recessed black tone-on-tone effect.

You can also print inside the engravings to make them more visible, or else print a logo directly on the cards.
